【摘要】:ThispartofthisEuropeanStandardappliestohand-heldbranchpipes．Itdealswith:-safetyrequirements;-performancerequirements;-testmethods-classificationanddesignation;-instructionsforuseandmaintenance;-marking.Thisstandardshouldbereadinconjunctionwithparts2,3or4.ThisstandarddoesnotapplytobranchpipescoveredbyEN671,foambranchpipes,powderbranchpipes,orbranchpipeswithamaximumworkingpressureabove40bar．NOTE1TheWorkingGrouphasthoroughlyaddressedanddiscussedtheissueofelectricalsafetyinrelationtousingwaterbranchpipes．However,anelectricaItestisnotincorporatedintothisstandardasintemationalexperience,aswelIasresearch(NFPAhandbook,Frenchresearch,etc)haveshownthatany〝artificial〞or〞laboratorystyle〞testingwillnottakeintoaccountpoorvisibilityandotherconditionspresentonanyfireground,northeproblemofestimatingdistancesundertheseconditions．Theendusershouldbeadvised(throughtheoperatinginstructions,see8．1)thatwhenfightingfiresinornearelectricalinstallations,thepowershouldbecutoffassoonaspossible．Also,maintainamaximumpossiblesafetydistance(atleast1mupto1000V)anduseasprayjetwithaminImumsprayanqleof30°．NOTE2Reactionforcesshouldbetakenintoconsiderationbeforechoosingandoperatingbranchpipes.
