【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversmineralfiberinsulationproducedtoformhollowcylindersforstandardpipeandtubingsizes.Themineralfiberpipeinsulationmaybemoldedorprecisionv-grooved,withoneormorewallssplitlongitudinallyforuseonpipetemperaturesupto1400x00B0;F(760x00B0;C).1.2Forsatisfactoryperformance,properlyinstalledprotectivevaporretardersorbarriersshouldbeusedonsub-ambienttemperatureapplicationstoreducemovementofmoisturethroughoraroundtheinsulationtothecoldersurface.Failuretouseavaporbarriercanleadtoinsulationandsystemdamage.RefertoPracticeC921toaidmaterialselection.1.3Flexiblemineralfiberwrapproductssuchasperpendicular-orientedfiberinsulationrolls,non-precisionormanuallyscoredblockorboard,orflexibleboardsorblanketsusedaspipeinsulation,arenotcoveredbythisspecification.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5ForNavalSeaSystemsCommand(NAVSEA)acceptance,materialsmustalsocomplywithSupplementalRequirements.SeeAnnexA1ofthisstandard.1.6Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatappliestothetestmethodsportion,Section11,only:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
