【摘要】:Theproceduredescribedinthispracticeisintendedtoaidinevaluatingtheperformanceofhouseandtrimpaintstonew,previouslyunpaintedwood.Therelativedurabilityofpaintsinoutdoorexposurescanbeverydifferentdependingonthelocationoftheexposurebecauseofdifferencesinsolarradiation,timeofwetness,temperature,pollutants,andotherfactors.Therefore,itcannotbeassumedthatresultsfromoneexposureinasinglelocationwillbeusefulfordeterminingrelativedurabilityinadifferentlocation.Exposuresinseverallocationswithdifferentclimateswhichrepresentabroadrangeofanticipatedserviceconditionsarerecommended.4.2.1Becauseofyear-to-yearclimatologicalvariations,resultsfromasingleexposuretestcannotbeusedtopredicttheabsoluterateatwhichamaterialdegrades.Severalyearsofrepeatexposuresareneededtogetanx201C;averagex201D;testresultforagivenlocation.4.2.2Solarradiationvariesconsiderablyasfunctionoftimeofyear.Thiscancauselargedifferencesintheapparentrateofdegradationinmanypolymers.Comparingresultsformaterialsexposedforshortperiods(lessthanoneyear)isnotrecommendedunlessmaterialsareexposedatthesametimeinthesamelocation.TheSignificanceandUsesectioninPracticeG7addressesmanyvariablestobeconsideredinexteriorexposuretests.1.1Thispracticecoversprocedurestobefollowedfordirectexposureofhouseandtrimpaintsonnew,previouslyunpaintedwoodmaterialstotheenvironment.Whenoriginatorsofaweatheringtesthavetheactualexposureconductedbyaseparateagency,thespecificconditionsfortheexposureoftestandcontrolspecimensshouldbeclearlydefinedandmutuallyagreeduponbetweenallparties.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Theproceduredescribedinthispracticeisintendedtoaidinevaluatingtheperformanceofhouseandtrimpaintstonew,previouslyunpaintedwood.Therelativedurabilityofpaintsinoutdoorexposurescanbeverydifferentdependingonthelocationoftheexposurebecauseofdifferencesinsolarradiation,timeofwetness,temperature,pollutants,andotherfactors.Therefore,itcannotbeassumedthatresultsfromoneexposureinasinglelocationwillbeusefulfordeterminingrelativedurabilityinadifferentlocation.Exposuresinseverallocationswithdifferentclimateswhichrepresentabroadrangeofanticipatedserviceconditionsarerecommended.4.2.1Becauseofyear-to-yearclimatologicalvariations,resultsfromasingleexposuretestcannotbeusedtopredicttheabsoluterateatwhichamaterialdegrades.Severalyearsofrepeatexposuresareneededtogetanx201C;averagex201D;testresultforagivenlocation.4.2.2Solarradiationvariesconsiderablyasfunctionoftimeofyear.Thiscancauselargedifferencesintheapparentrateofdegradationinmanypolymers.Comparingresultsformaterialsexposedforshortperiods(lessthanoneyear)isnotrecommendedunlessmaterialsareexposedatthesametimeinthesamelocation.TheSignificanceandUsesectioninPracticeG7addressesmanyvariablestobeconsideredinexteriorexposuretests.1.1Thispracticecoversprocedurestobefollowedfordirectexposureofhouseandtrimpaintsonnew,previouslyunpaintedwoodmaterialstotheenvironment.Whenoriginatorsofaweatheringtesthavetheactualexposureconductedbyaseparateagency,thespecificconditionsfortheexposureoftestandcontrolspecimensshouldbeclearlydefinedandmutuallyagreeduponbetweenallparties.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
