【摘要】:Theasphaltretentionisatestprocedureforfull-widthpavingfabrics.Theuseofthistestmethodistoestablishanindexvaluebyprovidingstandardcriteriaandabasisforuniformreporting.Thisprocedureisapplicablefortestingconditionedspecimens(see8.1).Theresultsobtainedmayvary,dependingonwhichtypeofasphaltcementisusedforthetest.Unlessstatedotherwise,useA.C.20asdefinedinSpecificationD3381orequivalentasphaltcement.Thisprocedureisapplicablewheneveritisdesiredtodetermineanindexasphaltretentionofpavingfabric.Ifitbecomesnecessaryforthepurchaserandthesellertousethistestmethodforacceptancetesting,thestatisticalbias,ifany,betweenthepurchaser''sandseller''slaboratoriesshouldbedetermined.Suchcomparisonistobebasedonspecimensrandomlydrawnfromthesampleofgeotextilebeingevaluated.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingtheasphaltretentionforpavingfabrics.Pavingfabricsareusedinafabricmembraneinterlayersysteminpavementsbeforetheplacementofanasphalticoverlay.1.2ThistestmethodshowsthevaluesinbothSIunitsandinch-poundunits.SIUnitsisthenameforthesystemofmetricunitsknownastheInternationalSystemofUnits.Inch-poundunitsisthecorrectnameforthecustomaryunitsusedintheUnitedStates.Thevaluesininch-poundunitsareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
