【摘要】:Manynationalandinternationalregulationsclassifyliquidsaspresentingaflammablehazardonthebasisoftheirflashpoint,asdeterminedbyarecognizedmethod.Someoftheseregulationsallowaderogationifthesubstancecannot"sustaincombustion"atsomespecifiedtemperatureortemperatures.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesapass/failproceduretodeterminewhetherornotaliquidproduct,thatwouldbeclassifiedas"flammable"byvirtueofitsflashpoint,hastheabilitytosustaincombustionatthetemperatureortemperaturesspecifiedintheappropriateregulations.Theprocedureisapplicabletopaints(includingwater-bornepaints),varnishes,paintbinders,solvents,petroleumorrelatedproductsandadhesives,whichhaveaflashpoint.Itisnotapplicabletopaintedsurfacesinrespectofassessingtheirpotentialfirehazards.
